Fusebox.online helps you keep track of what is in a fusebox. To do that, we store data about you and your fuseboxes. This page explains which data, why, who we share it with and what you can manage yourself.

Who we are

Fusebox.online is a service of Dolphiq BV, Rembrandtlaan 24D, 3723 BJ Bilthoven, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 55097669. We are responsible for the data you give us (the "controller" under the GDPR). Send any privacy questions to hello@fusebox.online.

What we store

  • Your account: your name, email address, password (encrypted only), language, your profile photo if you add one, whether your account is personal or for business, and which version of the terms you accepted, and when. When you change your email address, we keep the new one until you confirm it.
  • Security: your two-factor authentication and passkeys, if you set them up. We keep your login sessions, so your other devices are signed out when you change your password.
  • Your company (business accounts): company name, address and its place on the map, email address, phone number, website, VAT number, logo, whether you're on the partner listing, the standard text for emails to your clients, and who is on your team, with their role.
  • Your fuseboxes: name, address and its place on the map, the type of fusebox, the circuits and what is on them, photos, your grid operator and energy supplier, who last changed something, and when the fusebox was sent to the client.
  • A fusebox's contact: the resident's name, phone number and email address, if they were filled in.
  • Sharing: who you share a fusebox with and in which role, the invitations you send (with the recipient's email address) and access requests, with their message.
  • Plan and payments (business accounts): your trial, your plan, your invoices, the status of your payments and the reference Mollie knows you by. We never see your bank account or card; those go straight to Mollie.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser and error reports, for security and to fix problems.

If you had an account with the previous version of Fusebox.online, we moved your account and your fuseboxes over from it.

Why we use it

  • To provide Fusebox.online: your account, your fuseboxes, sharing and the emails that come with it. The service doesn't work without this data; the legal basis is our agreement with you.
  • To bill your plan and keep invoices, as tax law requires; the legal basis is a legal obligation.
  • To keep the service safe and working: preventing abuse, telling you when something changes on your account and finding errors. That is our legitimate interest, and yours.
  • To show installers: when a company joins the partner listing, we show its name, address and contact details with fuseboxes nearby. The company chooses this itself and can switch it off in its settings.

We don't send newsletters or advertising, we don't sell your data and we don't build profiles of you.

What others see of your fusebox

Every fusebox has its own code and QR code. Anyone with that code sees the fusebox's name, its circuits and its installer. When a fusebox has no installer, installers nearby are shown instead, without their distance, so nobody can work out from it where the fusebox is. The address, the photos and the contact's details are only visible to people the fusebox is shared with. So don't put anything in the name or the circuits that you wouldn't show a visitor.

When you share a fusebox, that person sees what their role allows: viewing, editing, or editing as the installer, who is then named on the QR page and the PDF. When you share with a company, its whole team has access. An installer with a confirmed email address can ask for access through the QR code; the owner then sees their name, email address and message.

When an installer enters data about you

When an installer creates a fusebox for you, they enter your address and contact details. Their company is responsible for that data; we store it on their behalf (as a "processor"). To see or correct it, you can contact that company, or us.

Sometimes we email you ourselves: when the installer sends you the fusebox, or when their company stops using Fusebox.online and you can take the fusebox over. We use the email address the installer filled in.

Who we share data with

A few companies process data for us. We have agreements with each of them on how they handle it.

Who What for Where
Amazon Web Services, managed with Laravel Forge The servers Fusebox.online runs on, with the database and the photos. European Union
Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) Sending our emails, so it sees the content of the emails we send you. European Union
Laravel Nightwatch Tracking errors and the speed of the service. European Union (Frankfurt)
Mollie Payments and invoices. Mollie is itself responsible for your payment details. The Netherlands
Google Completing addresses as you type, checking them and placing them on the map, also those of companies and fuseboxes. Google only receives the address, through our server; your browser never contacts Google. European Union and United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
European Commission (VIES) Checking the VAT number you enter for your company. European Union

Data only leaves the European Economic Area with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. When a party is added or changes, we update this list beforehand.

Beyond that, we only hand over data when the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

What How long
Your account and your fuseboxes For as long as your account exists.
Invitations Until a month after they were used, withdrawn or expired.
Access requests Until three months after the answer, or after three months without one.
Invoices and payments Seven years after the end of their year, as tax law requires.
Technical logs Fourteen days.
Emails that couldn't be sent A week, to try them again.

When you delete your account, we delete your data, except your invoices. We also revoke your mandate at Mollie. What happens to your fuseboxes:

  • You can first hand your own fuseboxes over to someone you share them with. The rest we delete, and everyone who had access hears about it.
  • A company's fuseboxes stay with that company, also when you leave its team.
  • If you're the last member of your company, we archive the company: only its name stays, the rest we delete. Its fuseboxes stay readable through their QR codes, and if the installer filled in the resident's email address, the resident can take the fusebox over.

Cookies

We only use the cookies Fusebox.online needs to work: to keep you signed in (also when you tick "Remember me") and to protect forms. Your browser also remembers one display setting. We use no cookies for statistics, advertising or tracking, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Security

We encrypt traffic to the site, store passwords encrypted only, and offer two-factor authentication and passkeys. When something important changes on your account, such as your password or email address, you get an email. If something goes wrong with your data after all, we report it where required within 72 hours to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) and, if it affects you, to you as well.

Your rights

You may see your data, have it corrected or deleted, have its processing restricted, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and take your data to another service. You can do much of this yourself in your settings: edit your profile, change your email address and delete your account. For the rest, email us; you'll hear from us within a month. We may ask you to show who you are, so we don't give your data to someone else.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, or with the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Age

Fusebox.online is meant for people aged 16 and over. If you're younger, ask a parent to create an account.

Changes

When we change this statement, the version and the date at the top change. If it's a change you would notice, such as a new party receiving your data, we email you beforehand.
